The building has two floors. On the ground floor, there is an agroshop, Lo Rebost d'Escaló, open on the last 10 August, where to get local produce and also functioning as a social centre of the village.

On the upper floor, we can visit the Interpretation Centre, with the necessary information to discover the site in a interactive and self guided way. PYRENEA Audiovisuals, a small enterprise set in the territory and a wide experience with more than 10 years in the interactive content production, has carried out this project from beginning to end.

The interpretation centre in Escaló is based in interaction and self guidance, supported mainly by audiovisual means. For this reason, the Centre is not the objective of the visit itself, but an instrument for motivation and information to have the most complete visit to the cultural heritage, based in three main points: the enclosed village of Escaló, the Romanesque tower of 11^th century and the old Benedictine monastery of Sant Pere del Burgal.

The elements composing the Centre are: tactile interactive audiovisual, where to find descriptive contents making reference to the three visiting places, a self guiding brouchure complemented by indicating marks along the itinerary around the enclosed village of Escaló and the broadcasting of the visit documentary, where a virtual guide and interpreter will invite us to do the suggested itineraries at the Interpretation Centre of the Enclosed Villages Heritage.
